Your first semester is over and its now time for the Christmas holidays. A time where the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God. People normally spend this season with family and friends and reflect on the past year as well as make resolutions for the upcoming year.

As a student, there many ways in which you could spend this holiday season and prepare for the next semester. Here are a few activities that you can be involved in.

Take a short course

Don’t just waste the time away, take a short online course to improve your skillset. It could be in an area that is not directly related to what you are studying so that you have a broader view on topics. We recommend this free course for all who want to gain digital skills and find ways to make money online. You can take the course here. It only costs 10ghc so sign up now.

Volunteer

Christmas is a time of sharing and giving. There are lots of programs and events being organised around this time of year which you could attend or volunteer to help in the organisation. You will learn a lot and also meet new people.

Visit friends

It sounds basic but there are some friends who because of school you haven’t seen in a while. Take this time to call them and visit them at home. Share a good time with them and also be a blessing to them.

Get to know about Jesus

The reason for Christmas is Jesus! You should spend time reading more about Jesus from the Bible. The world is in need for a saviour because we have all sinned against God and the bible says that the wages of sin is death. We all deserve to die and be separated from God because of our sin.

But God commended His love to us that while we were still sinners, Jesus Christ came to die for the ungodly so that through our faith in Him we will have eternal live and peace with God. All you have to do to receive this free gift of salvation through Jesus is to believe in your heart that Christ died for you and was raised from death after three days and confess with your mouth that Jesus is lord of your life then you will be saved.

This is the hear of Christmas and we pray that you experience Jesus in all his fullness this Christmas break.
