The University of Environment and Sustainable Development, also known as the Somanya University for short, has completed the first phase of its construction. Somanya University, in the Eastern Region, plans to admit their first batch of students in September of this year. The admitted students will be the pioneers of the Somanya University, Ghana.
The facilities which have been completed at the Somanya University, Ghana, include a 13-lecture hall block with a seating capacity of 1,545 with a 40-seater video conference room and 24 seating capacity computer research room for the Natural and Environment Sciences.
Facilities of the Somanya Universities
Some other facilities ready at the Somanya University, Ghana include the administration block, laboratory building, a 252 seater multifunctional hall, 100 seater dining room, washrooms, telecommunication room, kitchen, cafe, locker rooms, a 24-seating capacity computer research room, offices for lecturers and students common room. Also, an 80-bed capacity students’ hostel has been completed at the university as well as a 5-bed residential fully furnished facility for the Vice-Chancellor.
