The University of Ghana has taken action to suspend all church activities as well as Interim Assessment examinations amids the coronavirus pandemic.
it is not yet certain how long the suspension will last but the University has taken this action to avoid the spread of the virus amongst students. The University of Ghana has not reported any case of the coronavirus but it is taking preventive measures to keep it’s students safe.
Ghana has recorded 2 cases of the coronavirus. This suspension comes as a result of the University of Ghana restricting all gatherings on campus.
The Student Representative Council of the University of Ghana has also gone ahead to partner with the University Health Services Directorate to provide hand sanitizers at all halls on campus to help ensure safety.

Three bungalows have also been allocated by the University of Ghana as quarantine zones for any suspected case of the virus. There is also an emergency response team comprised of the University of Ghana Health Services and the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research.
It seems that the University of Ghana has taken proactive steps in ensuring the safety of students and to contain any spread of the virus amongst students.
